Google has acquired robotics engineering company Boston Dynamics, best known for its line of quadrupeds with funny gaits and often mind-blowing capabilities. Products that the firm has demonstrated in recent years include BigDog, a motorized robot that can handle ice and snow, the 29 mile-per-hour Cheetah, and an eerily convincing humanoid known as PETMAN. News of the deal was reported on Friday by The New York Times, which says that the Massachusetts-based company's role in future Google projects is currently unclear.

Odavno gledam snimke njihovih robota i imaju zabrinjavajuće dobar potencijal, ali šta sada čovek da misli? :)

Odlican poslovni potez u smislu plasiranja/investiranja para/kapitala (bez obzira o kome se radi, da li Google ili neka poljoprivredna kompanija npr.).
Ulagati danas u tu vrstu robotike isto je sto i ulagati u internet prije 20 godina, u kompjutere prije 40 godina, u automobile prije 100 godina, u zeljeznicu prije 200 godina...
Ubijedjen sam da je to jedan od sledecih skorasnjih velikih skokova u industriji.

Ova crna jolly jumper mazga sa slike, može da bude i umesto cegera, kad žena krene u kupovinu, što jes' jes.
Mada, deluje kao da je namenjena za neki drugi teret.

Lepo je to što recimo postoji ili će ubrzo postojati mogućnost da astronauti dobiju vernu stopostotnu zamenu i da mašna bude izložena riziku,
samo, hoće li to u narednih 500 godina biti slučaj?
