Unix and Windows server administrators wanted
We have immediate openings for up to three Level2 Unix and Windows server administrators. Looking for candidates who are dedicated and self-motivated, energetic, highly-skilled, highly-passionate, problem solver and capable of working well even under stress. You must be legal age to be bound by contracts. This is a full time position (40 hours a week). The pay and working hours are negotiable depending on your experience in the hosting industry.
Duties to be performed:
- provide pre- and post-sales support via helpdesk and live chat.
- write/maintain any relevant documentations, manuals, and articles
- call/contact L3 admins in case of emergency.
Essential skills required (some or all of the list below):
- fluent written English (TOEFL test might be required)
- advanced knowledge in installing, maintaining, and upgrading/patching Linux and Windows operating system and applications.
- web severs: Apache and IIS (intermediate knowledge)
- mail servers: Qmail and Sendmail (intermediate knowledge)
- database servers: MySQL (intermediate knowledge) and PgSQL and MSSQL (basic-intermediate knowledge)
- scripting: Perl and PHP (basic knowledge)
- networking: DNS, MTR, iptables, traceroute (intermediate knowledge)
Higher priorities will be given to candidates who have the following qualifications:
- fluent spoken English for doing phone support (TSE test might be required).
- extensive knowledge of Perl and PHP
- previous experience in web hosting industry
- previous experience and knowledge of Parallel's HSphere and PBAS (http://www.parallels.com/) control panels.
