Java J2EE / Web developer
Description
Outstanding opportunity for a Java J2EE developer with 2+ years JSF / Richfaces / ICEfaces HTML AJAX Hibernate/Toplink/EclipseLink experience to join our development team.
Responsibilities will include developing the next generation of the web platform, achieving dramatically improved functionality, flexibility and maintainability.
The primary development platform is WEB 2.0 .
Key responsibilities
• Analyzing requirements and giving estimates
• Implementing system features
• Maintenance and problem-solving of existing applications. Identifying underlying or hidden problems and troubleshooting issues
Required knowledge, skills, and attributes
• Proficiency in Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) and application server development is required that includes in depth knowledge of technologies such as EJB3.0, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, AJAX, and JSF.
• Good knowledge in work with web frameworks and containers like JSF, Spring, Struts, Webworks, Seam etc
• Strong knowledge of SQL
• Good knowledge of Design Patterns (GoF) and J2EE Design Patterns.
• SOA architecture and technologies
• Experience of web containers like Tomcat, Apache Geronimo, Glasfish
• Engineering tools like Ant, Maven2, Subversion
Personal skills
• Must be self-motivated, well organized and have strong innovation and facilitation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced growing environment and adapt to changing business requirements.
• Ability to share knowledge with team members via a mentoring relationship, reviewing code, reviewing design docs and giving technical talks.
• Being a good team player and able to focus on own tasks
Preferred Requirements
• Experience with JavaScript and DWR
• Experience in OSGi,JAAS, JMX
• A familiarity with open-source software development and Agile development methods
• Good knowledge of the Apache Foundation projects
